It's September again, and this month marks one year since the launch of this comm.

The theme for this month is Role Reversal. What if X and Y had each other's jobs/life experiences/species? How would things change? How would they stay the same?

Some possible ideas if you want them:

How do canon scenes/episodes change with X and Y swapped?

Multiple characters swap roles. Some are better suited than others.

X thought Y had the easier job/life/etc until they tried to step into it.

A curse/spell/etc forces X and Y to walk a mile in each other's shoes.

Amnesty is over! The next Amnesty Month will be January.

From this month I'm introducing a new incentive for creators - the person who creates the most fanworks over the month (provided "most" is more than one) will be able to choose a future theme. So if there's a trope or theme you'd like to see, get working!

In honour of the Olympics, the theme for August is Sports and Games. Your characters can be playing them, watching them, trying to avoid them, or anything else you can think of.

Some possible ideas if you want them:

Characters go to the Olympics or other sporting event. (As athletes, spectators, coaches...)

Characters bond over being fans of the same sport and/or team.

Introducing someone to a new sport.

Unusual sports and games in SFF fandoms.

Characters relax by playing or watching a game.

Character's nemesis challenges them to a game and they have to quickly train up and/or get a team together in order to beat them.

The theme for June is Outsider POV. What do minor characters / OCs / people not directly involved in the situation think of your characters? What do they get right or wrong?

Some possible ideas if you want them:

A minor character's perspective on canon events

The villain's perspective on the heroes / canon events

An OC reflects on how the main characters helped (or harmed) them

Happy May Day!

The theme for May is Sickfic. Your characters can be sick in bed, trying to work through some alien illness, taking care of a sick loved one/enemy/acquaintance, or any other sickfic related plot you can think of.

Some possible ideas if you want them:

Keeping each other's spirits up during a shared illness

X is sick, Y takes care of them

A character tries to work through their illness (optional: and is convinced/threatened/forced into resting)

A character is forced to work through their illness by circumstances/outside parties (optional: and their friends/loved ones help them through it)

The theme for April is Bonding Over Trauma. Your characters can be surviving captivity together, supporting each other through a traumatic experience, dealing with a shared past, or whatever you want as long as it involves bonding and traumatic experiences.

Some possible ideas if you want them:

Keeping each other's spirits up during captivity

A moment of peace during a war/battle/emergency

Bonding over similar past traumas

Trying to return to normal life together after shared trauma

No one understands what they've been through except [other character(s)]

A shared past leads to knowing/understanding each other in a way no one else can
